Dragonkort Posted April 11, 2020 Report Posted April 11, 2020 well I spent the morning printing out and transferring patterns to wood... mostly 3/4 no its 1/4 in thick wood I think...the thinner of the 2.... ( I told you I have no math skills!! lol and I don't have my little wood chips guide spike made me here in the living room lol ) any way im going to make steve goods birds in the bird cage pattern.. actuly im making 4 of them i'll stack cut the patterns peaces and pray God will be with me as I cut so I don't mess it up!! I got that pattern all transferred to wood and will glue the wood up to stack cut the 4 bird and bird cage I want to make. I did change the pattern just a little bit.... in the orginal pattern there is only one food dish.... in mine I changed it to hold 2 food dishes.... one for food and one for water... im sorry but I just can't make my little birdies either die of thrust or of starvation!! lol poor little things.... then I traced the patterns for first the stick hockyplayers and the stick band pattern that I got from steve too.. the hockyplayers im going to also stack cut 4 of one for me and one for my oldest daughter and her husband for xmass next year... lol im going to try to print out a little picture of each of there faces and then glue them into the head holes of the hocky players and see if how that works.... the ones I put in the finished crafts box i'll just leave the way the pattern says to do it. I also grabbed steves stick people band pattern and will trace that on to wood either later on tonight or tomarrow. one of my fondest memories from childhood are from where my dad and big brother would get there gittars out and my little brother would get his drum practice pad out and we would all sit in the Livingroom or our small 2 bedroom trailer with some friends who also played gittar and wed sit and sing while they played in to the wee hours of the morning. lol there were 5 of us kids and them the 5 kids of mom and dads friend who came over and every now and then the guy from across the field would grab his gittar and join in too...lol it was a very crowded little living room!! but everyone had a ball until the adults were all partyed out and every one had to find a spot to go to sleep lol the adults usuly took over the beds while us kids all sprawled out on the floor in the Livingroom lol and prayed we wouldn't be stepted on in the middle of the night when someone got up to go to the bathroom lol then I got out and traced mutts need love too pattern from steve and the cat pattern of his that says if you mess up make it look like the dog did it. lol that's not the exceat wording but you get the idea of which pattern im talking about.... and I printed out 2 of the star ship compound cut patterns....( for me there star treks Enterprises ship no matter what you call them ) and a few other compound cut patterns I want to make … those I have to glue and tape to the wood yet but I think I have enough stuff to keep me busy for a little while at least !!! lol like I said nothing fancy like you guys do but I enjoy doing them anyways... will try to keep you to date on each project as I go alone with pictures providing I remember to plug in the carmra. so I can take pics of each step lol and now spike is putting some pototoas into the deep fryer so we can eat and to think when he first came to me he could bairly boil water!!! lol just gos to prove you can teach an old dog new tricks!!! hope everyone is having as good a day as iv had Puzzleguy and amazingkevin 2 Quote

Dragonkort Posted April 11, 2020 Author Report Posted April 11, 2020 thanks guys... it was most defently a good and productive day. lol my poor spike I had him cut the 1/4 inch wood to manageable size for me, and the when he came back in he said I thought you were doing bird cages ? now what are you doing lol I was tracing some of the other patterns by then. when I told him what I was doing he said cant you just work at one thing at a time??? silly man.... I would get tired of what I was doing if I just worked on one thing at a time. lol this way I can work on different things here and there as the mood hits me. lol amazingkevin and danny 2 Quote
