teachnlearn Posted May 22, 2020 Report Posted May 22, 2020 As the death toll for Covid goes to 100,00 deaths started me thinking. There are so many that died alone, those with families, those that had no one. I wonder if there should be a conversation of some type of memorial with all the names of those that died, and a separate memorial of those Heroes that tried to save these folks and ended up dying themselves. I'm a disabled vet and am thanked endlessly. These people were just trying to live and take care of their family, or sisters, or brothers and are carted out in mass to be buried. Maybe there should be some thought a conversation of some type of memorial with their names. AIDS had a quilt, Vietnam had a wall, The Twin Towers had a memorial and on it goes. There are a lot of creative folks her, WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS? RJF dgman, John B and amazingkevin 3 Quote
dgman Posted May 22, 2020 Report Posted May 22, 2020 I don’t know of anything specific, but I’m sure there are memorials in the works. You can bet it won’t come from the government though. amazingkevin 1 Quote
teachnlearn Posted May 23, 2020 Author Report Posted May 23, 2020 I doubting the government is going to build anything to respect the dead. They don't speak of people or show any sympathy in any capacity at this point. I think this is going to end up being the creation of common people. RJF Quote
