amazingkevin Posted March 31, 2011 Report Posted March 31, 2011 Here's a pattern by Kathywise.com,called sleeping cat,it's 20" x12" enlarged with rapidresizer.com.It's a poor mans intarsia being it's all the same kind of wood.I just work with what i have. It's painted and stained to come up with close colors she used in real wood.Intarsia's are my favorite part of scroll sawing. They take more time but give lasting enjoyment year round on the wall.I get lots of compliments till i say the price, lol!I just do ones that catch my eye .That way when i have to sit on it (not sold yet)i can enjoy it!lol. montgomery0 Posted April 11, 2011 Report Posted April 11, 2011 Now that you mention that there is a poor mans Intarsia. I cant wait to try this medium of art on my saw. Your cat is Cool. If you don't mind my asking, what dose something like your cat sell for in your state and how much time to do a piece like it. How many failures if any to get good at it. Quote
