cashew Posted September 10, 2020 Posted September 10, 2020 This one is made from white oak and cedar throughout -- all cut with a #1 modified geometry -- the flags began as 4/4 and shaped down to about 1/2 inch average -- the backboard is 2 layers 1/4 cedar planks glued like plywood. Finished off with Spar Poly. About a week altogether. The stars for the US flag were a definite pain in the rear -- about 3/8 across. frankorona, munzieb, JimErn and 6 others 8 1 Quote

They are 3/8 across from point to point -- lol I actually had to re-cut the whole US flag because I dropped the stars on the first one and couldn't get them straightened out as to which went in which hole. meflick Posted September 10, 2020 Posted September 10, 2020 Amazing work - love outer flag and what it represents but I would not be doing it because of all those stars. Kudos to you even if you did it twice, even better for persevering. cashew and amazingkevin 1 1 Quote
