chipper67 Posted September 12, 2020 Report Posted September 12, 2020 I am just seeking advice on how to price something. I am thinking of selling my 24" Rockwell scroll saw. It was my dad's and I've had it in my garage a long time. I actually never had used it. I plugged it in yesterday and the motor runs really nice. It does not have a blade in it. It is old of course but I would like some opinions on what would be a fair price to sell it for? What should I start at and what would be your bottom dollar if you were to try and sell it? I appreciate any opinions. Thanks. Quote
dgman Posted September 13, 2020 Report Posted September 13, 2020 (edited) Welcome to the Village John! As I posted on the other forum, this is not a desirable saw. Most modern saws will cut circles around this one. The only folks who might want it is a collector. As for price, I’ll take $200 to take it off your hands. Edited September 13, 2020 by dgman Quote
amazingkevin Posted September 13, 2020 Report Posted September 13, 2020 Boy is this saw heavy!!! I have a c- arm contractor saw looks alot like this . My second one . The first one,s circut board went because of a sensitive foot pedal and I struggled to put it in the dumpster. I loved it thou. Quote
chipper67 Posted September 14, 2020 Author Report Posted September 14, 2020 Dgman, I thought you said you wouldn't take it if I paid you? Quote
dgman Posted September 14, 2020 Report Posted September 14, 2020 Well, since My post was edited by a moderator in the other forum, I though I would change my response here. I apologize for sounding negative. I wish you good luck selling that saw. Quote
chipper67 Posted September 15, 2020 Author Report Posted September 15, 2020 Dgman, Apology accepted. I appreciate that. Quote
amazingkevin Posted September 15, 2020 Report Posted September 15, 2020 (edited) Very quite vibration free saw and the bearings are tops like pencil eraser size, no wear out here!!! That alone impressed me immensely!!!! Plus i added zerk fittings to put grease into the bearings so it was a lifetime saw!!! Edited September 15, 2020 by amazingkevin spelling Quote
kywoodmaster Posted September 15, 2020 Report Posted September 15, 2020 Don't want to be negative but I bought one about the same as this one for $40.00 2 years ago. Quote
