Clayton717 Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 Here is my latest two pens. The first one is for my daughter. she wanted a cancer ribbon in it, so I scrolled that out and filled with pink flocking. The pen itself is purple acrylic with light pink lines in it. I poured(cast) this one myself. This is a slimline pen. the picture doesn't show the purple very well, it shimmers 2 shades of purple. The second pen is a Monet (same size as a sierra) with a guinea feather. Quote
Oges Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 Amazing work there Clayton, very nice results. You have done well turning the pens, and very clever in casting the acrylics yourself. Quote
Dan Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 Excellent job on the casting! Love the color and design. The feathers make a great pen also. Some more outstanding work. Dan Quote
wombatie Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 Love both the pens they are beautiful. If you don't mind me asking, if it's possible when you get time could to tell me step by step how you cast you own material, I would love to know and I'm sure my husband would too. Thanks Marg Quote
Oges Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 ..if it's possible when you get time could to tell me step by step how you cast you own material, I would love to know and I'm sure my husband would too.. I second that idea .. could see it being used for keyrings too. My brain is just capable of working out how to do plain resin ones or clear resin around an object, but it starts rattling and smoking when it tries to figure out how the purple one with the line swirling through it was done Quote
wombatie Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 Brett you just have keyrings on the brain. Marg Quote
Oges Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 Well I have just cut 80 of them for the kids school mothers day stand ... do you blame me? HAHA Quote
Clayton717 Posted April 29, 2011 Author Report Posted April 29, 2011 Marge and Brett I will post one soon. i going to see if I can figure out the video on my camera, other wise it may be a very long post with just pictures. The purple ones with the lines is a longer process. I'll see if I can get something put together tonight. Quote
coogman Posted May 1, 2011 Report Posted May 1, 2011 Nice job Clayton. I really like both pens. Quote
