FrankEV Posted November 12, 2020 Report Posted November 12, 2020 Assuming a editable file is not available and a pattern is only available in a Black and White PDF or photo file vesion, is there any way to convert the file to, or print the file in, grey tone? Quote
Foxfold Posted November 12, 2020 Report Posted November 12, 2020 You can put a pdf through Inkscape, do a 'Trace Bitmap' and then make it any colour you wish. I tend to do mine grey with a red outline. I find it easier to cut. amazingkevin, John B and don watson 3 Quote

I'll never laugh at people's arguments with computers. You can use the "Print Screen" key and it saves the screen to your memory, then just post it into a graphics program. I use printshop pro for most of my editing and it has the ability for you to select section, or whole screen and copy. now when I get stuck, I have my son, he is high functioning autistic and knows computers and graphics programs inside out. And for the mobile phone my grandson is the guru. Neither of them could hammer a nail in FrankEV 1 Quote

But, since I can convert PDF to JPG, I can use this method. Inkscape is very powerful, just not very intuitive. I'm learning but its a chore. John B 1 Quote
