Travis Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 My wife really wanted a Wii. She's been eyeing one for awhile now. So today, we took the plunge and bought one. So she'll be enjoying her new gaming console, and her strikingly handsome husband just got a $250 credit on a new lathe he's been saving his pennies for. One step closer! Quote
nanalee Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 Your wife will get some exercise with Wii.. we have bowling and dart tournaments with the whole bunch here. Tires me out..LOL!! Quote
blame Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 yeah we bought the kids the Wii and and few games plus a 46" LCD tv for this last Christmas the kids play it all the time keeps them active where my nephew has a PS3 and PS2 and has hardly any other interests other then fishing and gaming. he's a farm kid thou i just cant understand why he dont find himself other hobbies that gets him outside but i guess he's the type not to like being outside unless he's helping me. blame i really need to use the sig feature lol Quote
shelayla Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 I bought one for the family. Me and my better half spend more time on it than the kids. Tiger Woods golf is our favorite. He had never played a video game in his life until Wii and needless to say he is hooked. Money well spent. Quote
Clayton717 Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 I recently bought a Wii too. We have been wanting to get one but was afraid it would be like the playstations we have, not get used much. It gets played a lot more than expected. It kicked my butt the first time I played it, my son and I golfed, bowled and then boxed, big mistake I was sore for a couple days. I guess thats what I get for trying to be a kid, but it was fun and I still do it. Quote
Travis Posted April 28, 2009 Author Report Posted April 28, 2009 The irony is that I play that stupid Wii more than my wife! I hear ya about being sore. We bought the Star Wars game and by the time I was finished swinging my light saber, my elbow and shoulder were pretty sore. But lately, I've been saving the world from zombies in Resident Evil 4. I don't get a lot of arm exercise, but it gets my heart pounding when a zombie jumps out of the bushes and tries to eat my brains. Crazy zombies. I'm thinking about getting Call Of Duty. That looks like fun too. Quote
shelayla Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 If you want a mini workout try the fitness test on wii sport. You'll find after a few day of doing it that you aren't as sore, plus it's great when it says you are 20 instead of 42 !!! Quote
Travis Posted May 20, 2009 Author Report Posted May 20, 2009 LOL...I'd imagine. You know, we did buy the Wii fit. I haven't used it myself. I'll have to give it a go and see what it's all about. It'll probably kick my butt. We've been playing Lego Star Wars. It may not be as physical, but it sure is a lot of fun. Quote
