Thanks for the reminder and THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE SIR.

So sad how the people that served in Nam didn't receive the recognition they so justly earned.

My Dad was drafted & wounded in WW1.  I'm the youngest of 3 sons.  At different times, we were all Volunteer Army.  Oldest was wounded in Korea.  Middle brother and I served during peace time.  Only fighting we ever saw was a bar on a Friday night.  I spent 1960 between the Artic Circle & the North Pole as a Company Clerk.  During the light season, it got into the 40s for temperature.  Minus 30s in the dark season.  Did see 50 below, but that only lasted about a week.

During 24 hours of daylight, the human body has a amazing amount of energy.  Only slept about 4 hours "at night".  In the dark season, you only had the use of 1 hand.  The other was holding a flashlight.

Dad always said, "Every guy (& now gal), should be forced to Serve their Country".  Teach the young snots today some Respect & Discipline.

Thanks to all who served.
I was sin the Navy for 6 years but, not during Viet Nam.
I was too young for Nam and although I would have been proud to serve
I know I am lucky that I did not have to go there.

Jerry, I agree with your dad about giving some people some discipline in their lives
but, on the other hand, I met a man that was given the choice of prison or the Army.
He joined the Army and still did not learn any respect for authority or responsibility.

God Bless! Spirithorse
