Walmart can save a bunch of money when they build a new store. Instead of buying 20 check out lanes just buy an install  the only  2 that they will have open!

There isn’t a single Walmart in my area that has clerks to checkout. It’s ALL self checkout. I only shop there if there is no other option and then use curbside. They checkout AND load the car.

Walmart recently announced they were closing 250 stores, but were sensitive to their employee's needs and would find places for all four cashiers in other locations.

Samsclub is getting the same way.

We went to our WalMart today.  They are trying to trick you into using self checkout.  A "front row" (Closest to the merchandise) and another row where you walk past a closed belt to go farther to find a cashier.  I refuse to use the self checkout.  Don't want to help eliminate jobs.
