kmmcrafts Posted May 27, 2021 Report Posted May 27, 2021 None of my business I suppose but, just curious if you all have adjusted your prices because of your supplies have gone up? I raised my prices across the whole website due to mostly just restructuring my price's and seeing some items was costing me more to make and ship. I did this before all the major lumber price hikes etc.. but I should be good on supplies for at least a year and maybe two years.. I always stockpile lumber and try to buy in quantity on everything I use both for better pricing and less special trips to the supply houses. Anyway, my pricing structure could probably stay the same for quite some time yet.. I'll probably be sticker shocked the next time I order supplies though. I did just buy a lot of my shipping supplies since pretty much everything is going up in price.. I ordered several rolls of bubble wrap and boxes.. seem to be set on lumber and other things. Late last year ordered about 1000 clock inserts. I normally only order 500 but I wanted to get some larger sizes that the small 1-7/16 ones so now I have a wide range of clock inserts from the 1-7/16 up to 3-1/2 inch. was planning to sell off some of them because many of these I don't use many of.. Anyway, you adjusting prices or waiting it out.. Some of you I know keep a spread sheet of your cost and prices.. I assume you're going to adjust prices so you're not loosing money.. do you wait until the inventory you currently have is sold since you made it with cheaper lumber or? As it stands right now, I could just sell my supplies and probably make more money than I could if I made stuff with it to sell, Quote
new2woodwrk Posted May 27, 2021 Report Posted May 27, 2021 (edited) Raised prices a few weeks back (after another of your threads) As far as wood prices, my lumber guy say at most we will go up a nickel per bft- I buy boards at 15-16 ft so maybe go up 80 cents a board - not enough to change my prices He did warn me about ply though and since I don't really buy it anymore I think I'm good for awhile A few of the other supplies can be "problemsome" like shrink bags, spray adhesive and possibly finishes but other than that I think I'm sitting ok on prices Edited May 27, 2021 by new2woodwrk kmmcrafts 1 Quote
lawson56 Posted May 28, 2021 Report Posted May 28, 2021 I have raised my prices some, not to much, the price of 1/4 plywood has gone up a little. So I have raised my prices to meet them. kmmcrafts 1 Quote
