Christmas in August

My new granddaughter-in-law has requested some projects to give as gifts - how could I say no?  Here is the first of them.  Its a Judy Gail Roberts pattern but I added an oval backer made of painted BB.  Also, the branches got a paint wash to help keep the poplar from turning brown.  The Cardinal is cut from Redheart, the snow is Aspen, and the pine cones are Walnut.  Now on to the rest of the wish list.
