Nice one Smitty.

2 weeks ago I got the builders in for similar, upstairs bathroom and downstairs toilet, and tomorrow I start painting what wasn't tiled. Mine looks very similar to yours with half tiling and the rest filled holes and scraped paint. Roll on Monday when I'll have it finished and I can settle back to normal.

What I found very unusual was the effect it had on me. I stayed out of their way by staying in the shop and I could have stocked a market stall with the amount of Alex Fox items I produced. I just kept a production line going, whereas my normal mindset is purely presents, Birthday, Christening, Christmas, etc and never any thought about having to produce 10 of this and 25 of that.

It also cheered me up with having some interested spectators who knew not what a scroll saw was. They would come out back at lunch time to see what I was doing. Very few people in Ireland know what a scroll saw is.  We need a group of scroller fanatics to somehow pay, bribe, or threaten some celebrities to take up scrolling. Can you imagine the positive press when such and such an actor revealed that they relaxed between takes by scrolling in their trailer, and then they gave their items to the local orphanage in front of the media. Although it might actually be easier to get some fanatical scrollers from the village to become actors.

We need a government funded study to examine whether currently available trailers are suitable to be converted into a scrollers hang outs, with beer fridges and a pizza oven.

Yea the marble looking tile is a great choice.  We almost went with that. But last minute we did something different.

For those of you thinking of remodeling.  My wife and I found some interesting tile. Most of us here like the look of wood.

We asked the tile store guy if we could use floor tile on kitchen counters and bath counters. :) He said yes but no one did it to his knowledge. So we did it.  This was a few years back.  We replaced the fiberglass tub with walk in shower.  we hired a tile guy to do it.  All counters bath and kitchen have it.

As far as I'm concerned, there are not enough improvements for the shower, such as generators to regulate the temperature of the water or steam, something unusual that usually happens in the shower. Because I recently read a lot of new information here https://bathroomer.org/best-steam-shower-generator/ and realized that my shower can be upgraded very well, it has a lot of increased functionality.
You have something to work on, and I think you will make it beautiful.
