Lords prayer

One of the first  pieces I ever done was the Lords prayer 

Over the years I've cut about 10 of them

Shown here are 2 of them,the third is one I came across  while on holiday in dingle,Ireland this  summer

These look awesome, Tony. That's one of my future projects. I notice the one from Ireland is a little different (wording) than the ones you cut.

I'm also from Ireland 

The 3rd piece that I saw on my holidays,I was told its really old, made around 1915

Which  was when the original  pattern  would have been  published

Those look great Tony, very nice cutting and I love the design of The Lord's Prayer.  

I cannot imagine how much work it was to do that with the tools available in 1915.

yes,all that would have been available would have been a handheld fretsaw,i used one myself for a few years,actualy the first picture was made  using hand toools,it wasnt till a few years later that i graduated too a scrollsaw

yes,some of the text is different at the bottom of the piece,nice to see though
