Thanks, no problems with the whiskers with the pattern sized to 10'' x 10'' , but like I mentioned in my post, there were many sharp inside and inside cuts that required a lot of backing up to get a really good cut. In all it was a very good pattern to cut, really enjoyed it and again thanks a lot for the pattern.

I appreciate your comment concerning, "backing up" to get fine detail. I believe that in doing that. you will end up with a sharper portrait once completed. I was taught that way, ah, well, let's just say a few years ago, and the man who taught me called it "Classic Style". Regardless of what anyone calls anything though, You certainly did a fine job on this one. All we had when I started was straight blades, and not too many choices either. Today folks are fortunate but maybe too in too much of a hurry. What you described there does take some extra time, and I think it is worth it. What we do is not meant to be a race, is it? LOL

I'm still marveling over the Wagon Wheel one you did some time back. You obviously enjoy your time on the saw to be able to do these rather insane patterns.

Ber well Pard.

Thanks for your comments Jim, I just use straight blades in all my cuttings, tried spirals a few times but didn't like the results and my cutting ended up in the scrap pile lol. My brother looks at my cuttings and says that I should get my head examined , says that he sees some of these cuttings in magazines and thinks that  no body in their right mind would attempt those patterns but comes to my shop and sees that I cut them ,LOL. I enjoy cutting patterns and will be doing another one of yours soon. I don't know if you saw my cutting ''The Gate Keeper'' in my album but now I am cutting out a picture of just the face of the dog, that I enlarged to about 10'' x 10'' using Inkscape , after following a tutorial by Travis on how to print oversize patterns on regular printer.
