Zoot Fenster Posted March 7, 2022 Report Posted March 7, 2022 LOML is out of town, so I had a week of shop time. Corner Coon was completed today. Mahogany body, wenge, curly maple. The head is not glued to the body to accommodate wood expansion. T-slot on the back holds it to the wall. A JGR pattern. I dislike the edge "arrows" immensely. They make it impossible to nicely sand the outside edge. And interfere with the connection of different pieces. Also tried the DEFT acrylic semi-gloss finish; still too shiny for my taste and the first coat raises the grain. But it does dry faster than PU. A fun project! meflick, Dak0ta52, frankorona and 5 others 8 Quote
preprius Posted March 8, 2022 Report Posted March 8, 2022 (edited) Yes he is cute. The corn kernals were done well and look difficult to carve. Especially with the claws / fingers. Well done. Me. Edited March 8, 2022 by preprius Quote
