Popular Post oldhudson Posted March 31, 2022 Popular Post Report Posted March 31, 2022 I made this little project a couple weeks ago. The plans came from Steve at Woodworking for Mere Mortals. The sides are 1/2" cherry, the tiles and in-lay are walnut and the top and bottom panels are 1/4" birch mdf core pw. The numbers were applied with rubber stamps using a homemade ink pad and acrylic paint. I sprayed lacquer on the tiles and used a Minwax oil finish on the rest of the box. Hinges and hasp from Rockler. Shut-the-Box is a simple game played in English pubs with dice and a game board like this, although I've seen several versions. Thanks for looking. Gonzo Posted April 4, 2022 Report Posted April 4, 2022 Very nice! I like the idea of a hinged box. I’ve only made them open-faced OCtoolguy 1 Quote

spirithorse Posted April 24, 2022 Report Posted April 24, 2022 I believe that is the fanciest shut the box game I have ever seen. Great work! Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Spirithorse OCtoolguy 1 Quote
