oldhudson Posted April 6, 2022 Report Posted April 6, 2022 I came across a Youtube channel that I'm really enjoying. (This has little to do with scroll work.) I've found it very educational, interesting and easy to listen to. It's called the Workshop Companion. Here's a link to one episode where he talks about tuning up your table saw. I hope you're able to get as much from it as I have. OCtoolguy, Scroll-N-Skydiver and amazingkevin 2 1 Quote
DRugerH Posted April 7, 2022 Report Posted April 7, 2022 I used this video to make adjustments to my 1948 Craftsman 10" table saw. Very useful instructions. Not sure if modern saws are the same with the direct drive motors, but really good information Dan OCtoolguy 1 Quote
OCtoolguy Posted April 7, 2022 Report Posted April 7, 2022 Ah, you've found a Youtube series that you like. I have been watching all the videos done by Ohyo56. He is a Japanese craftsman, self-taught, and I love to watch him work. Many of his projects you won't know what they are until he's finished but I have learned a lot from him. He is not a scroller but woodworking is still woodworking and this fellow has it mastered. He works with apitong mostly as he has a friend who gets him a lot of scraps and cut-offs. He also got a load of kids school desk tops so he uses a lot of them in his construction. I am in awe of many of his tools that we can't get here in the U.S. Especially drill bits. I'm beginning to find some of them on Aliexpress. Give his channel a look and you will be hooked. No obnoxious noise either. Just him strumming his guitar in the background on most of them. Here is a link to just one video, then you are on your own. Quote

I have a saw blade sharpener that needs lots of tweeks to make it user friendly, because it,s a harbor freight item with out bells and whistles. OCtoolguy 1 Quote

It was enjoyable. There are so many channels I follow that we added this with your contributions. OCtoolguy 1 Quote
