Dak0ta52 Posted May 24, 2022 Report Posted May 24, 2022 This is for those using the less expensive scroll saws like my WEN. The blower is connected to a metal post that slides up out of the way to change blades and then lowers back down to blow the dust. The blower is held in place by a knob that screws into the post. Mine was always working loose and dropping in the way when changing blades or dropping down onto my work piece when I was cutting. Needless to say this was very irritating! I removed the knob and cut a piece of rubber from a tool tray mat just large enough to cover the tip of the bolt on the knob. I used super glue to secure it to the tip of the knob. This seems to have remedied my problem with the knob inadvertently dropping in the way. It also reduced the amount of torque required to hold the blower in place. If you are having this problem I hope this little trick will provide a little help. danny and John B 2 Quote
