Dennis51 Posted October 13, 2022 Report Posted October 13, 2022 I always number the parts when making intarsia, this has worked well with up to 100 or so parts. I’m thinking about a very large intarsia, approximately 800 parts, how would you keep track of all these parts, many of which are too small to number? Thanks Dennis Quote
ChelCass Posted October 13, 2022 Report Posted October 13, 2022 For the tiny pieces you can get 1 1/2x 1 1/2 inch baggies and put each piece in that and then number the baggie. Then put all the little baggies into a larger baggie to keep them all together. Or as we Stained Glass people do have a second pattern and lay each piece in its proper place on the second patter ( if you have room to put the second pattern) until you get all the pieces cut. Scrappile Posted October 13, 2022 Report Posted October 13, 2022 Small paper cups. Put the number on the cup and store the cups in something like a cigar boxes so then do not get tipped over. Or maybe use egg cartons. Quote

Hi Judy: Great advice - but the second one will not work if you have a roaming cat in the house ask me how I know..............lol..........May he rest in piece(s) (old age) Fab4 Edited October 13, 2022 by Fab4 Roberta Moreton and ChelCass 2 Quote
