Sparkey Posted October 16, 2022 Report Posted October 16, 2022 I was able to pick up a good size piece of mahogany at our club auction. The bowl is around 10”. This is the first time I have turned mahogany and thought it turned very nice. Scrappile, meflick, munzieb and 3 others 6 Quote
TAIrving Posted October 17, 2022 Report Posted October 17, 2022 (edited) That looks very nice! What did you use to finish it? I have turned a small mahogany bowl, maybe 4", and found it a nice wood for turning. I am jealous of you for getting that large a piece of mahogany. In around four weeks it will be dry enough to put on the poly finish. I use Arm-R-Seal oil based poly. Very long lasting durable finish. Quote
