Cool! First time I've seen that done. I'm not a hunter anymore but I do need a coat/hat hanger in my shop and I'm pretty sure my father-in-law has some old racks laying around. :) How did you fasten the antler?

I sanded a flat spot on the back and drilled 2 pilot holes. #6 wood screws seem to work well.

Could you startch it? Or put a wire in it?  Just thunking here

I was thinking something else. But I won't say as I don't want to get kick out of the village.

You inspired me Dan. My Father-in-law passed away about a week ago. I found an old rack and a rough cut oak board in his shed and made this for my shop. I barely sanded it and cut it off with a rusty hand saw in his shed. I like it like it is. 🙂

Very beautiful work Dan. A few ago I had cut a cougar pattern out of a moose antler. I remember the stench from the cutting was just awful. You really need to wear a mask when cutting antlers. Merry Christmas.
