Scrappile Posted February 16, 2023 Report Posted February 16, 2023 I never have turned something that fragile. It is pretty but would scare me. Just a note of caution, back when I first started turning, I belonged to a turning forum. We received a notice one day that a member, been a turner a long time. Was turning a hollow forum piece, it blew up on the lathe a piece embeded in her head and she died. Yep a freak accident, but I never forgot and I became a very cautious turner. This one you have the walls of the bowl reasonably thick I would think safe, and sorry for going to the dark side, but be aware, turning can be dangerous. Sorry again, that is a very beautiful bowl... Nice job. Quote
BrianA Posted February 17, 2023 Report Posted February 17, 2023 No I understand it can be scary. I did use Minwax wood hardener on most of it. It was very difficult to turn smooth ( at least for me). More sanding than I desire Quote
