Quick, fun little project. Made my wife happier than any portrait I’ve ever done Made from a 2” piece of Mahogany.

I know what that little pot would hold...  legal in many states now.  Have you noticed, women are a little funny about little things.  Playing around once several yeas ago and made this little heart, not even thought it could be used for.  She has clung to it. keeps it close.

Very nice! At least yours took some time. The flower pot probably took 30 minutes. One of the things I surprised my wife with that she appreciated most was a truck load of mossy rocks to put around one of her flower beds. You never know.   (Not legal in Bama. If it ever is I'll see if it helps my depression.  )

That is a profound trade secret, but for you I will share.  I use 5 minute epoxy.  Not recommended, taped the bottom of it with blue painters tape, not recommended, mixed in a couple drops of red testors model paint, enamel, poured the epoxy in. Let it set then sanded off any slop epoxy I got where I didn't want it.  This procedure would not have worked on a larger piece.  But you don't really have to over think small items.   If it had not worked I would have tossed it and chalked it up to a fail.

 

@Charlie E It may make it worse.

I like it. It would make a great pot for an Air Plant. Well done.
