If you are talking out stand up puzzles, I use a piece of cardboard under the puzzle then use a shrink wrap bag heated with a heat gun. This keeps the puzzle together enough to ship in a large padded envelope. I’ll also use another piece of cardboard on top of the sealed puzzle to help protect it. I have sent out dozens of puzzles this way without any damage. I will also enclose a picture of the puzzle for reference.

As Dan said, for the puzzles that are made from 3/4 ish inch stock I use shrink wrap bags and shrink them with a heat gun. I just use a 14 x 9 bubble mailer and I wrap the shrink wrapped puzzle in about 4 squares of the small 3/16 ( I think it is ) bubble wrap and then I fold and tape the ends over which makes for a pretty thick padded package. Able to ship first class as they typically weigh between 6 - 8 oz.

Oh, I always through in a business card and a choking hazard label for those that might buy as a gift and ship to a different person.. plus not everyone will read the complete description anyway so I cover this by placing this in the shrink wrapped package so it cannot be missed. Since I bought a B/W printer I now purchased return label stickers from vistaprint and stick the warning label onto the shrink wrap.. this helps also when I would forget to put the darn paper inside too, 🤣
