Roberta Moreton Posted September 15, 2023 Report Posted September 15, 2023 Has anyone tried this? There is a yearly fee. Etc. I have been invited. I think because I have a Michael’s shopper card. (Not a credit card). I would like to hear some pros and cons from actual users. Quote
kmmcrafts Posted September 15, 2023 Report Posted September 15, 2023 It's brand new and actually still in Beta testing the last I knew. I do not know of anyone currently selling or doing live classes etc. so I'm not sure how it's working. I can see this being pretty neat with selling seats to "how to classes etc" Might be interesting. I have read somewhere that they will create shipping labels for returns and deduct from sellers account.. so that being said they may not give options for you to not accept returns etc.. or maybe they never really incorporated that into their policy.. I currently have too many selling platforms running and actually thinking about scaling back some. However I do like the option to do live classes.. Be interesting to see how this pans out. https://www.michaels.com/makerplace If you click the " Become a Seller " at the bottom of the page it shows you some of the details.. Might be worth looking into.. Quote
Roberta Moreton Posted September 22, 2023 Author Report Posted September 22, 2023 My friend is setting up a shop for cross stitch art with them. I will inform everyone of her experiences. I haven’t jumped in…yet. barb.j.enders and meflick 2 Quote

I've read of sellers having issues with how MakerPlace website has some issues and it seems as though they set up the site and think they don't never have to update it or fix issues.. Not that this would directly affect her or her sales but if a company doesn't care to help it's customers.. well you can see where that might go without me explaining it. She might consider trying GoImagine.com but this site is still quite new as well and not a lot of traffic there YET.. But those places are great places to grow because there isn't a boatload of competition among other sellers either if you don't mine waiting a long time in between sales.. I've been on the site about 6-8 months and only had around 3 orders come in so as I said, it's slow going but that also depends on if you as a seller tries getting customers or not too. I haven't worked at it yet on that site but will be soon. Roberta Moreton 1 Quote
