gator Posted April 15, 2012 Report Posted April 15, 2012 okay sold a old truck and "wwmbo" (woman who must be obeyed" has given me the okay to purchase a new resaw. first question. cool blocks or bearings? i have a old sears craftsman 12 and resawing has never been consider because blade guide system. will keep it for small band sawing but new one will be for resawing pretty much only. have no experience with the euro cool block system. i know thats like asking ford or chevy but really looking for members that have used both to weigh in. WolfmoonCT Posted April 15, 2012 Report Posted April 15, 2012 I resaw on my 14" Delta all the time. I have the Delta cool blocks in it, and it works fine. Bearings work great too, but I don't think they are really needed.. I highly suggest the Carter quick blade tension device.. I can't believe how long I went without one now that I have one.. Quote
Jim Finn Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 I have a grizzly GO555 with a riser that works well for me. I use 1/2" Woodslicer blades to re-saw a lot of cedar and oak. Quote
gator Posted May 8, 2012 Author Report Posted May 8, 2012 pulled the trigger. so far ever bit as good as i was expecting. Quote

MagGeorge Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 Very good reviews for Grizzly band saw machines. However, I ended up acquiring a Trajan 914 that I use for resawing. It delivered quality results. Quote
Fabitfast Posted July 27, 2012 Report Posted July 27, 2012 There are a lot of review sites on the net. This one is where I have been around recently – www.bandsawreviews.com. Quote
