I also like how you go against the grain, and I don't mean wood grain. You use different woods, different sizes, which think kinka goes against the grain in the scrolling community. It is not often you see work done on 3/4 inch pine, but I tend to like the looks of it on certain projects. I know 3/4 inch pine for Christmas ornaments for the tree would not be good, but I think it really looked good for the Christmas candles on this video.
