Messman Posted April 28, 2012 Report Posted April 28, 2012 Anyone ever hear of PowerCraft Band saws? I have the opportunity to pick up a 14" for $125.00, It does need a little work which is easy enough to do. But I need to know something about the saw, like is it anygood? Quote
wilder Posted April 29, 2012 Report Posted April 29, 2012 Hi Messman, I don't know if you have Aldi stores over there, but PowerCraft are the make of tools they tend to sell. As far as I can gather from various UK websites they are not all that reliable, but others may know more than me. Chris Quote
Robert Phillips Posted April 30, 2012 Report Posted April 30, 2012 You could probably pick up an Erbauer for that money a 16" one. Mine only cost me £50. Rob Quote
wedo scroll Posted April 30, 2012 Report Posted April 30, 2012 Chris, I had difficulty finding PowerCraft in searching. I did find Powr Kraft , which has a bit of info at: http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread. ... elp-needed There are some pics to see if that is the same. Bill Quote
Messman Posted April 30, 2012 Author Report Posted April 30, 2012 From what I have learned this was the brand that Wards sold. They were ok tools as good or maybe slightly better than Craftsman, according to those who have owned their line. Now that is not to say that they have not found others to sell their product or were also sold by others. I am thinking I am going to pass on this one and hold out hope I can find something a little more capable. Quote
