Jim I took my dremel tool with a 3/8 inch sanding drum on it and sanded the indentations into the rim. I was not thinking or I would have cut them on the saw instead.. would have been much faster. Perhaps the next one I will use the saw hehe

I purchased the "Wooden Bowls for the Scroll Saw" by Carol Rothman. You'll find many different bowls from basic round to laminations. She does an excellent job of explaining/showing how to make the bowls. Happy bowl scrolling!
