DWSUDEKUM Posted May 29, 2012 Report Posted May 29, 2012 Decided to make something other than a shell hehe. Cut this bowl from 3/4 appleply with maple facing. It was sealed with tung oil and then shellacked. DW Quote
jteagle77 Posted May 29, 2012 Report Posted May 29, 2012 Sharp looking bowl thanks for showing. Quote
Jim Finn Posted June 1, 2012 Report Posted June 1, 2012 How do you make the top wavy like that? Great looking bowl. Quote
DWSUDEKUM Posted June 2, 2012 Author Report Posted June 2, 2012 Jim I took my dremel tool with a 3/8 inch sanding drum on it and sanded the indentations into the rim. I was not thinking or I would have cut them on the saw instead.. would have been much faster. Perhaps the next one I will use the saw hehe DW Quote
Bzern Posted August 13, 2012 Report Posted August 13, 2012 Nice bowl, the wavy top part looks like one of Carole Rothman's pie boxes. Thanks for sharing, Ben Quote
amazingkevin Posted October 26, 2012 Report Posted October 26, 2012 You are the bowl master!SHARP! Quote
retmsgt Posted October 30, 2012 Report Posted October 30, 2012 I purchased the "Wooden Bowls for the Scroll Saw" by Carol Rothman. You'll find many different bowls from basic round to laminations. She does an excellent job of explaining/showing how to make the bowls. Happy bowl scrolling! Quote
realfEZ Posted November 25, 2012 Report Posted November 25, 2012 Perfect! Great skills needed there... Quote
