  1. Outstanding Creation!
  2. Thanks y'all. I will look at the various species of mahogany to see it I can find more. Beautiful grain. Again, thanks Semper Fi
  3. Anyone know what species of wood this? Given to me by a fellow moving. The dark spot is where I wet it. Thanks Eric
  4. Outstanding work, Kevin.
  5. Glad only property was harmed. Geez, I plan to retire on Halloween. Maybe I should pull my retirement package! Actually, a change of careers! Leaving the VA after 20 years. Hopefully, I'll have another job before leaving the VA. Anyway, y'all have fun!
  6. Wonderful work! What wood did you use for the shell? In the article in Scrollsaw woodworking magazine, the author used pine for the example. Yours is absolutely beautiful. Oh, yeah, the 1/2 barrel is great as well! Eric
  7. Outstanding work. I have an Amercian Bulldog and she resembles your piece. I'm still debating whether I want to try an intarsia or not. I'm not so sure I'd have your patience to do a project. Eric
  8. Always sad to hear about one of our warriors paying the ultimate price. Wonderful tribute and memorial for Sgt. Walker. And this Marine thanks you for your service as well. Semper Fi, Eric
  9. Outstanding!
  10. Outstanding portrait, Paul. Eric
  11. Clayton, I checked out your old and new galleries. Outstanding work. Hope I get to your level of expertise. Have fun. Eric
  12. I have used self adhesive shelf paper in the past. Cut the paper to fit my printer. Print then "peel and stick"...only problem is it took 24 hours or so for the ink to dry enough so it wouldn't smudge! Now I print the pattern on my printer using paper. Cover the wood piece with packing tape (got lots left from my move here) and spray the adhesive to the tape....put the paper pattern on the tape. The tape peels easily with the paper remnants on it. Have fun, y'all. Eric
  13. I move the piece counter-clockwise so the blade is cutting clockwise. I guess it depends on your "hand" preference...right handed or left...
  14. Thanks for the patterns Travis, et. al. My organizations are Toys for Tots (T4T) and the Wounded Warrior Project. Happy holidays all.....
  15. Welcome Jim. I've learned much from this site. Great place to explore.
  16. OH...and great looking bowl....
  17. I purchased the "Wooden Bowls for the Scroll Saw" by Carol Rothman. You'll find many different bowls from basic round to laminations. She does an excellent job of explaining/showing how to make the bowls. Happy bowl scrolling!
  18. Outstanding!
  19. Outstanding. The covered wagon gives a sense of being there. Thanks for sharing a piece of you with us. Semper Fi
  20. have used the saw over a week now. Unbelievable. Ease of operation as well as threading fretwork is fantasic! I'm still playing and get used to the feel of it. Again. I want to thank you fellows for your suggestions and comments. Semper FI
  21. Rock....more rock...and hard rock! I have a receiver/speaker system set up to drown out the saw noise.
  22. Thank you, Gentlemen. I currently have the saw stand level on the floor, which seems to control vibrations as well. The idea of a "shelf" on the stand is interesting. Also, I have a floor lamp with a flexible neck which I can put anywhere to remove shadows. Again, I truly appreciate your tips.
  23. Excellent work. I live in south FL, think I saw that turtle in my back yard yesterday!!!
  24. I realize these posts are 3 years old; however, I just purchased the 21K. Did the Seyco fellow contact you and were you successful in rectifying the problem? Thanks Eric
  25. I just ordered this saw with a delivery date of Aug 16th. (This coming Thursday) Any suggestions or tips on using this saw? I'm somewhat of a novice, only been scrolling about two years. My Porter=Cable went belly up a couple of weeks ago. Anyway, any tips/suggestions for the excalibur? thanks Semper Fi
