oldhudson Posted May 31, 2024 Report Posted May 31, 2024 Even though I’ve been a woodworker since the late 70’s I’ve never done much turning. You know the old saying, “Life is like a roll of toilet paper, the closer you get to the end the faster it goes.” And with that in mind I decided I’d try to turn some bowels. Because I’ve never spent much time turning, my tools were buried and hard to retrieve. So I decided I need to make an organizer for the them. There is no shortage of folks making tool racks on YouTube, but they all seemed to be wall mounted. I wanted something on wheels. My shop is very small and I have no wall space. And when not in use I can wheel them to a staging area. Thanks for reading. MarieC, JackJones, meflick and 2 others 5 Quote
preprius Posted May 31, 2024 Report Posted May 31, 2024 nice idea, portable lathe tool rack. It keeps them vertical. Right now my lathe tools are laying down on a shelf, taking shelf space. There must be an auto spell going on Bowels vs bowls. Especially when toilet paper was mentioned. So much for A.I. I need toilet paper for one, and need a sharpener for the tools for the other. There was another post about bowels in reference to bowls. oldhudson and Dan 1 1 Quote
TAIrving Posted May 31, 2024 Report Posted May 31, 2024 Very nice! Compact and convenient. You did the right thing with protection on those sharp cutting edges. But I prefer to store mine with the cutting edge down for safety purposes. oldhudson 1 Quote
