rafairchild2 Posted September 2, 2024 Report Posted September 2, 2024 This was just posted... Quote It is with a profoundly sad heart that I share the sad news that Judy Gale Roberts, Intarsia artist, has passed away from liver disease and other complications. I cannot express what an inspiration she was for me. To be associated with a world renowned artist is amazing to me. To call her and Stephen friends. To gain artistic insight, view what I see through a different lens, to not settle for okay in my projects are but a few of the lessons I gained from her. Her kindness and sharing heart of her craft inspired thousands,if not tens of thousands. Prayers for her husband Stephen and the family as the sad days go forward. Judy was the Intarsia Queen. She will be missed. Pray for her Husband, family, and her staff. New Guy, Me and my buddy, Jim Finn and 4 others 7 Quote

rafairchild2 Posted September 2, 2024 Author Report Posted September 2, 2024 When I was born the people laughed and I cried. May I live a life where when I die, the people cry and I laugh. I imagine as she looks down upon us, Judy is smiling and laughing as we cry, she touched so many people in so many ways with her gifts and generosity. Quote

heppnerguy Posted September 3, 2024 Report Posted September 3, 2024 I have made several of Judy Gail Robert's patterns and I plan to do many of them once more. She was truly a giving and talented woman who will be missed world wide. I feel so sad for her husband as I know he was with her as she helped so many to excel in Intarsia work and brought so much joy to so many people. I know I will miss seeing her new patterns she continually made and sold to so many. It is truly sad to know she will no longer be here to help so many people. I will pray for her husband for sure as I know it has to be extremely difficult for him at this time. Dick heppnerguy d Quote
Scrappile Posted September 3, 2024 Report Posted September 3, 2024 (edited) I was thinking today. All the outpouring, of sympathy, condolences, sadness, respect, admiration, and sorrow, that has been on here, on FaceBook and I am sure other social media, must give some comfort to her family. She certainly was a very giving, talented, lady. I wish I would have had the opportunity to meet her. Edited September 4, 2024 by Scrappile Jim McDonald 1 Quote
NC Scroller Posted September 4, 2024 Report Posted September 4, 2024 We should also direct our prayers to Judy's two assistants, Marianne and Judy. They have been with her a long time and when you work in a small office it becomes like a family. Jim McDonald and Scrappile 2 Quote
Norm Fengstad Posted September 13, 2024 Report Posted September 13, 2024 The hymn was so touching.
