Sparkey Posted April 17 Report Posted April 17 I started my second basket illusion vase. The first one will be for sale at the 4th of July fair. I needed a second one to enter at a contest at our local art center. I made a table out of 3/8” steel plate with a 1” post for putting the lines on to burn. I think this is going to work a lot better than the old way. JackJones, TexasDIY, jollyred and 2 others 4 1 Quote
Scrappile Posted April 18 Report Posted April 18 Quite a setup you have. The last picture, the disk behind the chuck, is that for indexing? I look at your floor and remember why I quit the lathe in my little shop. What a mess I created. Quote

I can go into my CAD program and print any number I need in a few minutes. Scrappile 1 Quote

Scrappile Posted Friday at 01:42 PM Report Posted Friday at 01:42 PM Very beautiful piece. I think these "Basket weave" turnings are my favorites. I can see where that could make you cross-eyed! Check this one out. This was done by my Turner friend, and I find it pretty amazing. Segmented with a twist. I have been thinking of joining the Turner club. It is very active, and I like to being around woodworkers, no matter their discipline. Been to a couple of their meetings, and it was fun. Dan, barb.j.enders and TexasDIY 3 Quote
