I agree, Flying Dutchman blades are very fine blades and Mike is a big help. I also have used Olson #5 PGT blades for my Intarsia, and also used Pegus blades with very good results. It's always best to try various blades and manufacturers until you find the ones you like best. Do stay away from the big box store blades.

I've been wondering why people use diffeant blades and i guess you don't need the reverse scroll blades for intarsia because the reverse side is never seen so a clean edge is not needed

 

its true for intarsia the back side is rarely seen, but it's nice to have the clean edge when trying to fit everything together. all them little fuzzies could make the joint not so tight.
