Compound cutting

I decided to rest my sore shoulder and start cleaning out shop drawers today

got stuff in there I haven't seen in a decsde

 

i found a gold colored bottle stopper kit

i gave all my turning kits to preacher who bought my lathe this one was buried under other stuff so I decided to make a stopper with wine compound cut on it

had no clue what I was doing and it didn't come out good my hands were unsteady today

ill give it one more shot tomorrow but will shape it like a wine bottle

I most have made 150 of them with my lathe 

a lot of those layered colored plywood 

alot of acrylic ones 

I never made one that wasn't spun on the lathe
