I Know, But I Did It My Way

I finished the four lanterns.  When I showed a picture of the first one I got put together, most said they should be a light color, but the originals I saw were dark, and I liked them that way.  So I stained mine.  I still like the dark.  They are done. stained and several coats of clear simi-gloss lacquer.  Only thing left is to find some brighter LED lights to put in them.

Likin' the dark (old-school lanterns were usually darker as they aged, due to sitting out in weather and all the oil/smoke).  These things are awesome!!!

I'll second @JackJones and inquire as to the pattern source?

I like the dark,too.  If there was a way to make interchangeable panels the would make great holiday themed lanterns.

Yes but you would have to have a very tight fit of each one or they would fall out. I had some that fit tight enough, but not all.

Always better if you make them/paint them the way you want them, then you are happy.
