I've been caught up in pens lately. The first two are from blanks I received from Clayton. The first blank is called Molten Metal (I think). It is cool and the picture doesn't do it justice. The second one is an elm burl. I decided to dye it green and it came out better than expected. The third one is my try at casting. It's blue and red dyes with some silver Pearlex added to PR. Again, picture doesn't show the depth and shimmer.

Thanks for looking.

excellent job Dan. what did you use to dye the elm burl?

Clayton, I use food color from the grocery store. It takes about 24 hours to dry, but once dry I just lightly sand until I get the shade I want.

Clayton, I use food coloring. It takes about 24 hours to dry, but once dry I just lightly sand until I get the effect I want.
