I want to make some trophies from this picture.

I want to make some trophies for our model boat club. I really like this picture and was thinking of an outline with just the boat, the water beneath it and the roostertail. Something similar to the second picture. I'll make it out of thicker wood so they stand up on their own. Can someone help me out?
