sullyscroller Posted September 6, 2013 Report Posted September 6, 2013 Ok it's 11:30 so i'll make the coffee. Had a visiter last nite around 10 as i was sittin on the porch haveing my last smoke --- about a 300 lb black bear turned over my trash can not more than 40 ft from me !!!! He run off but came back a couple of min later and my wife got to see it. Our subdivision is out in the country but didn't know we were this far out. So cool to see it and not have to travel to the smokies 2 hours away. Wasn't scared cause i was to busy being amazed. Sorry no pics but might take the camera out there with me tonite after we get back from the show.Ya'll have a blessed day and just BEAR with it LOL sully bobscroll 1 Quote

Phantom Scroller Posted September 6, 2013 Report Posted September 6, 2013 Sully a bit late so I'll make me own tea. lol you need to stop making bee traps and start making bear traps. Roly Quote
keefie Posted September 6, 2013 Report Posted September 6, 2013 I hear they make good eatin' so you'll have to go out there and wrestle him, put him in the stewpot!!!! Sorry I couldn't make the coffees today, I left early to go to a big woodworking show at "Yandles" in Somerset - I should have saved my time and money, the show's changed so much and the prices of their wood have gone through the roof (and it was poor quality wood too- all split and cracked) I definately wil be giving the next show there a miss. ChelCass Posted September 6, 2013 Report Posted September 6, 2013 Yikes!! Not something I would want to see while sitting on my front porch. We have them in our area but they have not made an appearance.................so far! I much rather see the deer in our yard....................safer!! Hope you do as well at your show today as you did last week. Looking like we may be getting some rain. Wow! just had a flock of Meganizers fly in, usually don't see them this early. Sure hope this isn't a sign of an early winter................................... Have a great day everyone!! Quote
bobscroll Posted September 6, 2013 Report Posted September 6, 2013 I forgot about coffee!, A bit late now so will get a cup of tea instead, A belated good morning to you Suly, The most we might get is a Hedgehog or frog in our back garden. Sorry to hear the show was so bad Keith, See ya all later, Bob Quote
Huntter2022 Posted September 7, 2013 Report Posted September 7, 2013 Bear , good eatting there. SULLY , you need to stop feeding the bears,or they will keep coming back . I know they are nice to watch. But think about it what if you have your grandchildren and they are out and the bear is there. It only take a split second for something to happen. At a huntting camp up north had to put Bear bars on the windows to keep the bears out of the cabin, looking for food. What would you do if you woke up and a bear was in your Kitchen? Quote
