trailfndr Posted October 13, 2013 Report Posted October 13, 2013 (edited) pattern is by JGR. Used different shades of Poplar and a little walnut. Leather dye was used to darken the shadow. By the way, Is anyone planning to attend Judy's open House in Tennessee on the 26th? I am planning to drive down to visit Mom and taking the day to learn more about Intarsia Edited October 13, 2013 by trailfndr amazingkevin and bobscroll 2 Quote

heppnerguy Posted October 13, 2013 Report Posted October 13, 2013 your usual talent stand our again in this intarsia piece. I hope you enjoy your travel and the weather is good for your trip. I have several horse people in my family and this would be a nice gift for one of my family members. might consider it. Nice innovation with the leather dye. Homer uses a mixture made of vinegar with a piece of medal like a nail or steel wool placed in it for a day or two and then removed. the mixture darkens the wood without any side effects. amazingkevin 1 Quote
amazingkevin Posted October 13, 2013 Report Posted October 13, 2013 The dark and light contrasts in the choice of woods brings out so much beauty in the bronco. You should feel very proud of your work here Quote
