Luperez548 Posted December 8, 2013 Report Posted December 8, 2013 I have had troubles while framing my works. The 45 degrees cut drove me crazy. Surfing in the internet I found this device plans in the mere mortals web site. It works really good, 3 framed works today, all cuts were over my expectation. woodworker13403A, Travis, bobscroll and 1 other 4 Quote

Ron Johnson Posted December 9, 2013 Report Posted December 9, 2013 Hi Luis Nice framing guide. Thanks for the info. Quote
keefie Posted December 9, 2013 Report Posted December 9, 2013 I have seen that before, 2 of the members of our turning club have made them and both say they are very accurate. As I dont have a table saw, I'm thinking of trying to adapt it to work on my bandsaw - I don't know if it will work or not but it's worth a try. Keefie Quote
oldhudson Posted December 9, 2013 Report Posted December 9, 2013 Thanks for posting. A miter jig like that adds to quality and consistancy of every frame you make. I made a similar jig 15 years ago and still use it every time I make a picture frame. I added 100 g sandpaper along the edges to ensure the stock won't slide. (Can't find a picture of it?) WWMM (Steve) provides good information nearly all the time and a great aray of projects Quote
Phantom Scroller Posted December 9, 2013 Report Posted December 9, 2013 Luis I have one of them there great, takes all the effort out of 45 angles. Nice work Roly Luperez548 1 Quote
WolfmoonCT Posted December 9, 2013 Report Posted December 9, 2013 I made the WWMM one too a few months ago. I LOVE it. Just need to make a few crosscut sleds still. I used metal miter track instead of wood runners though. Phantom Scroller and Luperez548 2 Quote
