LarryEA Posted December 22, 2013 Report Posted December 22, 2013 (edited) I just want to feel sorry for ' me '.If it was not for boners:* I'd run out of fire wood before spring.* My sawdust and shaving are bedding for my horse stalls.* I help keep Mike and Sloans in business, but I'm not complaining,I get a little money back when I sell my old dull and broken bladesto the metal recycling company.I make mistakes especially in new territory and it is here that Imake mistakes never made before. Just to be sure, I do it again. The blade is bent in six places, but I want to use it . I can cut a little longer with this dull blade. So what it's 3/4 inch Hickory, I'm going to use a #2 because there isa tight cut somewhere in the pattern.Make a test cut??????? No way, I'll make it fit.But then all these mistakes have led me to learning ways to fix andhide them.It keeps me in the shop longer.I just wish I could get more accomplished.Larry Edited December 22, 2013 by LarryEA amazingkevin, Dave Monk, WayneMahler and 2 others 5 Quote

EarltheScroller Posted February 19, 2016 Report Posted February 19, 2016 (edited) Selling your old blades??? You must go through a lot of blades! How many blades to a pound? What's a pound of scrap steel going for? LOL Edited February 19, 2016 by EarltheScroller Quote
DWSUDEKUM Posted February 19, 2016 Report Posted February 19, 2016 You think you have a large collection of designer firewood well you might but it is not as uncommon as you might think. I think sometimes half the fun is figuring out ways around the unexpected design modifications we all do from time to time. All in all it is fun to play with new ideas. Consider this fun little hmmmm...... Only YOU know if it was not intentional DW GrampaJim and WayneMahler 2 Quote

WayneMahler Posted February 23, 2016 Report Posted February 23, 2016 Larry we all belong to the club of this circle. I have a box for "designer firewood" in my shop. Never shows in pictures and is never empty. We learn as we go and go as we learn. It's part of the cycle of life Fab4 1 Quote
