went to a buddy's ranch down in south texas for a few days to recharge the batteries and thought you guys would like to see the pictures of pictures.20 or so years ago my bud and his dad cut trees dried them milled them and made these. this is some beautiful work. and yes he still has a lot of wood and gave me a truck bed full of dried mesquite wood he still had. also did a little target shooting and hand gun training while there. nice to have your own shooting area.

There is a limited supply of misquite even in Texas, I would think.

It is beautiful...You were blessed.

no no no larry there is not a limited supply of mesquite in texas, no there is a limited supply of big straight grain  but in south and west texas it is thick as crawdads  in Louisiana. its a pain here takes over but grows twisted a lot and is a pain but beautiful wood and well far as  smoking meat none better
