Our little Eastern Oregon town of Heppner was founded by Irish people. So the neareest weekend to St Patrick's Day, we have a parade, street sales and many activities that attract people from quite a ways away. I found a pattern that I thought would be perfect for this event. Since we usually have quite a few family members and friends come to our house for this and also because my wife, Sharon, enjoyes decorating for every holiday, I choose to make a decoration that  will come out once a year and surprise me because I usually forget about the decorations as soon as they are put away. I thought this would be a perfect one for here.
