ubgoofy2003 Posted February 24, 2014 Report Posted February 24, 2014 Working on this portrait for a friend. Her name is " Holly " & just turned 14 yrs. old. We take care of her once in a while for the weekend, when Jim is out of town. I already did one of his other pet, Winston, who has passed over the rainbow bridge. Will post Holly's portrait when I get it finished. Just a few lines to cut---- HA I do my patterns with a pencil, so will have to make adjustments as I go, if it is needed. Thanks amazingkevin 1 Quote

spirithorse Posted February 26, 2014 Report Posted February 26, 2014 Nicely done, Perk, I wanted to help you along by flooding the pic with color to see any floaters but, couldn't open the file. Must be because it was up-loaded with two images or something. God Bless! Spirithorse Quote
ubgoofy2003 Posted February 27, 2014 Author Report Posted February 27, 2014 Thanks everyone & Kevin, I just don't want to go through all the red tape with software to make a pattern. Yes, I'm old school alright. But, I like doing it this way. I also don't use a paper pattern glued to my work piece. I transfer the pattern with carbon. Spirithorse, I'm almost possitive there are no floaters. I even watch for the possibility while I'm cutting it. If you mean two loads for the pictures, yes, I did do them seperately. Thanks Quote
Bendita Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 Looks good can't wait to see the cut should come out beautiful. Quote
ubgoofy2003 Posted March 9, 2014 Author Report Posted March 9, 2014 Sorry, I listed this project as finished. Now I have it finished & will post it here for you to view. I used 1/8 in. BB Ply & made the frame with old barn board. It sure doesn't look like barn wood when I sanded it all down & coated it with a clear coat. Holly is a friends dog & she is getting up there in years ( 14 ) so he wanted me to do this for him. I really like doing the pets etc. portraits for friends & family -- no charge -- it's fun to do. Thanks for looking. aubec 1 Quote
