nrscroller Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 HI all Coffee is on.....help thyself!! Well, yesterday I had a guy come and shovel my roof off on my house.....lots of snow up there. Fortunately the ice dams hadn't gotten back past the ice and water shield in the valleys. It was about 4 feet thick in spots up there. Late afternoon my son stopped after work and we blew the big piles off the back patio and the decks. So I guess I am good for the rest of the winter now. Supposed to be super cold all week here in western Wisconsin.....ugh! Have a nice weekend all Bill Quote
amazingkevin Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 You won't believe this but i miss snow !Had 12 years of it as a kid there in milwaukee. But i guess as a kid you really don't have to deal with it like an adult, shoveling, car problems ,frozen water pipes, heat, driveways etc. Quote
keefie Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 Thanks for the coffee. With my knee I'm glad we don't get too much snow here, when it's cold the knee aches badly.. When we do get snow in Cornwall, here in Newquay we might get a light dusting and it'd gone within an hour, about 3 - 4 miles inland from us they get about 3 - 6 inches when it snows - they can keep it lol Quote
LarryEA Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 Good Morning Bill and Kevin, ... Keith, Good midday to you I guess. I'll pour me a cup of coffee and sit here and read the 'rag'. then what...??? Thanks for the coffee and company Larry Quote
Kepy Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 Thx for the coffee Bill. Supposed to be weather moving in today with heavy snow just north of me and 1/2" of ice south. We are supposed to get sleet followed by snow. Quote
Fay Prozora Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 Thanks for the coffee boy it is so good this a.m. They said on the news last night that another storm is coming this way this weekend and that means another cold snap. Right now it is 47 degrees in Seattle so it should be about that here in Sequim. Went down to turn on the heat in the shop and it did not feel very cold in there but it does look like it will rain a bit or at least showers. So maybe it'll be a good day at the saw today Have a great day Fay Quote
Ron Johnson Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 Thanks for the coffee Bill. Taste great on this -50 morning. Remaining cold for the balance of weekend with extreme wind chill warnings throughout the province. So I guess I'll spend the weekend in the shop. Have a beautiful day everyone Quote
Bendita Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 Morning everyone thanks for the coffee Bill. After spending 5 years in the Artic where it gets to -72 below in the winter not much snow mind you but extreme cold I can now honestly say as I sit here at my desk with a fan blowing on me in 30 degree weather wearing shorts and a Tshirt and flip flops as footwear (you get the picture) I don't miss winter. Have a wonderful day everyone. Quote
