Overfifty Posted March 16, 2014 Report Posted March 16, 2014 Good morning. I'm usually successful in creating patterns with decent photos but smaller, pixilated photos leave me frustrated. Any suggestions? Thank you, Barry. Quote
Phantom Scroller Posted March 16, 2014 Report Posted March 16, 2014 Hi Barry. Well that's a good question, I suppose it depends on the picture and what software you use and the ability of the person doing the job not much help I'm afraid. Roly Quote

Overfifty Posted March 16, 2014 Author Report Posted March 16, 2014 Right, that would be GIMP and Inkscape. Thank you. amazingkevin 1 Quote
Travis Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 It's hard to pull detail from small pictures. Most of the time I won't even bother if the picture is too small. Typically, you'll need a larger scan with higher resolution. amazingkevin 1 Quote
Gary Beasley Posted March 19, 2014 Report Posted March 19, 2014 You could probably get away with using Delta Cad on it, you manually trace the lines of the image. Folks in our group generally use Delta Cad for intarsia patterns Quote
