Simple question

I went to a site to register and become a member so I could access a pattern I wanted. Could not see the pattern unless I registered.
I've tried registering three times now without success.
One part of the registration has me stumped.
Below is the section I copied it:

Simple question:        Banana


How??????How do you answer that?
Below the banana there is an example answer in faded text
The example answer is confusing also:

If you had an apple and I gave you another, how many apples do you have?

And I tried three times with logical and then finally stupid response...

You try it...Free patterns on our basic rounde crib board

 I got a msg back asking me which of their Carveright machines I owned.

Told them I did not own one just wanted to register and browse. and look

at their patterns.

They then told me patterns were for machine owners only.

A-n-d never did tell me how to register.

I guess you have to pass the legislation to find out whats in it ! You may have to call Nancy !! Once you have our machine ,well you can guess the rest !!

Support at Carveright sent me this answer to my question.Here is their answer: 

The question is something like "If you have one apple and someone else gives you another apple, how many apples do you have?"

The default answer, which is wrong, is banana.  It wants you to change banana to the correct answer.

 

 

Sounds simple,  the question is phrased as   

Question:       Banana 

  If you have one apple and someone else gives you another apple, how many apples do you have?"                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          It confused me. Actually I did answer Two ... still rejected. I'll try again.

When is a door not a door (when it'a a Jar !) O when a FREE pattern requires a new Machine to get it! such a deal !! Makes you feel like a one legged man in a --s kicking contest !

Maybe I understand it wrong but if you had an apple you don't have it anymore.

If someone gives you another you have one apple.

 

But as I said, maybe I don't understand it right.
