Cj1 Posted July 25, 2009 Report Posted July 25, 2009 Can Gimp be down loaded from a computer that is hooked up to the internet after its been burned to a CD, and be downloaded onto a computer not on the internet and still be used. I use my computer in my garage that is not on the internet and want to down load GIMP on it and use it to make scrollsaw potrait patterns Quote
Travis Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 Hi Clarence. I don't see any problem with downloading the program, burning it to CD to put on a non-internet computer. Since GIMP is a free product, it doesn't require any registration or serial keys, so you should be fine. Great idea about having a computer in your workshop. Having all of your patterns within reach is never a bad thing. Quote
Barry5180 Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 Just download the install file Clarence and burn it to a CD. Don't install the program to the CD since the computer in the shop won't have the information it needs to run it. Copy the install file to the CD and then install it to the shop computer. It will work fine. I've got a computer in my shop that I still need to set up, but that way I have all my scrolling stuff at my fingertips. Barry Quote
